As part of our holistic plant engineering, we plan and implement individually tailored wastewater treatment plants (WTPs) that meet the highest technical, ecological and legal requirements. The treatment and reuse of process water is a key component of our circular economy – and, in conjunction with our proven technologies, even enables completely wastewater-free surface treatment.
Our wastewater treatment plants are always designed with a view to the specific process requirements. The acidic and alkaline wastewater generated during surface treatment is collected in the company’s own wastewater treatment plant, reliably treated and either safely discharged into the sewer system or directly returned to the cycle – provided that the water meets the required quality standards.
Our wastewater treatment plant is designed as a batch system, which allows the treatment steps to be flexibly and precisely adapted to changing wastewater compositions. The heart of the plant is the multi-stage chemical-physical processing system, consisting of:
A generously dimensioned wastewater collection tank for receiving the process wastewater, batch treatment in which the pH value and the precipitation of interfering substances are controlled by adding acids, milk of lime and flocculants, a sedimentation unit in which the formed solids reliably settle, a final filtration with gravel filters in which the finest particles are removed, optionally with a downstream selective ion exchanger and a final pH check, which serves as a last safeguard before the water returns to the cycle or to the sewer system.
If required, the system can be supplemented with an evaporator unit. The entire system is equipped with high-precision measuring technology for continuous monitoring of the pH value, conductivity, turbidity and fill levels. In conjunction with a modern programmable logic controller (PLC), safe, almost automated operation is guaranteed – including alarm notification in the event of deviations or malfunctions.

If the defined quality parameters are met, the treated water can be returned to our process plants. This not only significantly reduces freshwater intake, but also minimizes wastewater production. In this way, our wastewater treatment plant provides a crucial contribution to resource conservation and fulfills the requirements for wastewater-free production.

All safety-relevant processes – such as neutralization, dosing of chemical aids or filtration – are monitored by optical and acoustic signals as well as digital logging. The continuous documentation of operational data ensures the compliance with legal requirements and allows for seamless tracking.
