Storm implements customized surface treatment systems for the industrial processing of semi-finished metal products – from planning and manufacturing to commissioning. Our systems are comprised of modular treatment stations and fully automated transport systems that enable seamless process control. The material flow is largely automated: After manual loading, automatic crane systems take over the transfer to the protected plant area, where the workpieces are guided through the various process steps depending on the respective program – e.g., pretreatment, pickling, phosphating or coating.
The systems are individually designed in accordance with product requirements and have integrated supply systems such as tank farms, pumping stations and pipeline networks for safe media handling. The process is controlled by modern automation technology, which enables both flexible product changes and transparent process monitoring. Upon request, the systems can be equipped with energy-efficient technology and advanced measurement technology for process and quality control.

Our wastewater treatment plants (WTPs) are specifically designed for industrial processes such as surface treatment – but can be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of applications involving chemically contaminated wastewater. We rely on a proven, multi-stage system for chemical-physical processing. The WTP enables the safe treatment of acidic and alkaline wastewater – with the option of recirculating the water back into the process, provided the quality requirements are met.

An example: Our fully automated laboratory etching system for processing slab samples offers maximum process reliability, reproducible results and intuitive operation. All treatment steps – from inserting the samples to etching and rinsing to drying – are automated and can be controlled via a visualization. Exhaust air routing, chemical dosing and wastewater handling are just as well thought out as the ergonomic design of the work processes.
A special highlight: The entire system, without pipework and peripherals, is designed to be so compact that it fits on a conventional truck – ideal for fast transport and rapid commissioning.
